SPECIAL FEATURES TO MONITOR:
These relate to the general forecast which can be found
here
|
Summary: The first 3/4 of June
was near average temperature wise and saw 85% of average rainfall & 120% of average sunshine too despite the heavy rain that developed in week 2 in places but there's more to come locally this week though a
mainly dry settled pattern continues for the east now until mid
week, though there'll be increasingly heavy outbreaks of thundery rain or showers at times after midweek across
England and Wales though less so in N ireland & Scotland. Maybe by the next weekend itll be fresher with a few showers
generally. Overnight some low haar in the east, some local mist/fog patches inland. Warm in the west and
NW, & on the coasts otherwise very warm or hot by day, and some muggy nights to come too.
Ground conditions generally damp overall but heavy thundery
rain locally will change that for a time this week across parts of central and southern England and Wales.
Rain amounts- up to 10mm for
some northern & NW parts but generally dry in other areas until about midweek when thundery
showers spread eastwards and the west may become very wet around late Thursday/early Friday with the heavy thundery
rain & flash flooding spreading east on Friday across England -some parts may see 25-40mm plus. For rainfall
totals for next 6 days -from the day you look- in mm see http://www.wetterzentrale.de/pics/Rmgfs144sum.gif
Field and planting information -dry in parts of E England & east Anglia
but generally fairly damp now soilwise, even rather wet still locally where the heavy storm rain fell midweek in
parts of Dorset .
