Weather
Front™ Ltd, the largest dedicated weather store in the UK, based at Westham Business Park , near Eastbourne, will soon
announce the dates of further 2011 weather day courses, probably another Introductory Weatherday. The days focus on offering an introduction to meteorology and weather forecasting in a relaxed
environment and enable those with no or only a little previous understanding of the weather to better understand and forecast
their own weather each day. In addition there will be discussions on severe weather development and forecasting.
The sessions will be run over the course
of the day, with a break for lunch, at the premises of Weatherfront at Westham Business Park, at Westham near Eastbourne
(just 5mins walk from Westham & Pevensey railway station).
Dave Wiseman, proprietor of ‘Wiseweather’,
will be leading the sessions. Dave has been involved with just about every aspect of the weather, since he joined the Met
Office almost thirty years ago. Weather Front™
Ltd director Alistair Barron said: ‘With the increasing interest in the weather, related to global warming and a better understanding of
just how important it is to our local environment, both now and in the future, we thought it would be good to offer something
that enabled people to see why we get the weather we do, and give them the opportunity to be able to forecast it for themselves.
The more we all understand about it, the easier it is to appreciate the delicate ecological balance we live in. We hope people
will come along and have some fun learning a little more about the weather
There is plenty of car parking space too. To book a place in advance ring the Weatherfront offices
on 01323 465760 or e-mail info@weatherfront.biz. The charge for the day is normally £25.
