Weather Front™ announce another ‘Weather Day’
Saturday February 2nd 2008
Venue: Sovereign Harbour, Eastbourne
Weather Front™
Ltd, who own the Weather Shop™, the largest dedicated weather store in the UK, based at Sovereign Harbour, near Eastbourne,
have announced another course during the next month.
After the successful
sessions in 2007 the day focuses on offering an introduction to basic meteorology and weather forecasting in a relaxed environment
and enable those with no previous understanding of the weather to better understand and forecast their own weather each day. In addition there will be discussion on how to set up a weather station and a look
at some weather events and the future.
The session will
each be run over the course of a day, with a break for lunch, at the Sovereign Harbour Yacht club
Dave Wiseman,
proprietor of ‘Wiseweather’, will be leading the sessions. Dave has been involved with just about every aspect
of the weather, since he joined the Met Office almost thirty years ago.
Weather Front™
Ltd director Alistair Barron said:
‘With the
increasing interest in the weather, related to global warming and a better understanding of just how important it is to our
local environment, both now and in the future, we thought it would be good to offer something that enabled people to see why
we get the weather we do, and give them the opportunity to be able to forecast it for themselves. The more we all understand
about it, the easier it is to appreciate the delicate ecological balance we live in. We hope people will come along and have
some fun learning a little more about the weather
The weather day
will be on Saturday February 2nd. The session will start at 10.30am and last until 3.30pm
with a break for lunch. There is car parking space. To book a place ring the shop on 01323 472921 or e-mail info@weatherfront.biz.
The charge for the day is £20 but they are limited so do hurry!
